WASHINGTON, D.C. The Bush administration admited Tuesday
that a pre-Sept. 11 prediction from television psychic Miss
Cleo was ignored along with dozens of reports from the FBI,
CIA, and even a personal letter from Osama Bin Laden admitting
he was sending suicide bombers to crash into the World Trade
Center.
Under pressure from Democrats, the administration on Tuesday
showed members of the Senate Judiciary Committee portions
of Miss Cleo's recorded statement, which proved once and for
all the controversial Jamaican Shaman was legitimate
"Miss Cleo was right on the money and she was ignored
by this administration," said Senate Majority Leader
Tom Daschle, D-S.D. "People keep saying she's a big phony
but it's obvious those Republicans are just jealous of her
amazing mystical talents."
According to sources within the Democratic Party, there is
substantial evidence that President Bush and several Cabinet
members had signed up for Miss Cleo's free 7 minute tarot
reading months earlier, but then ignored her very specific
warning about a terrorist bombing in New York City. Bush acknowledges
the phone calls but says he was busy asking the psychic if
he would be re-elected for another term.
Miss Cleo, a Brooklyn native, is under investigation for
fraud in more than a dozen states. She claims she suddenly
aquired her heavy Jamaican accent after being hit on the head
by a mugger five years ago.
